Our client is a premium Sydney CBD firm specialising in environment and planning law, competing directly with top-tier firms and commanding premium fees for its work. This is a permanent opportunity for an Setting & Planning Lawyer at 3-5 PAE to join a genuinely collaborative team where junior and associate-level lawyers work across the practice rather than in silos.

Salary and Benefits offered

$120,000 - $150,000 package (dependent on experience), reviewed annually
n
Realistic 6 billable hour daily target, based on hourly budget rather than fee generation at junior level
n
Premium CBD offices with onsite cafe/bar
n
Fortnightly team meetings to discuss matters and share knowledge

Flexible working arrangements available (no fixed WFH policy, arranged directly with the practice)

Genuine progression: a proven track record of paralegals advancing through to partner and special counsel level

About the role

Running matters across rural acquisitions, waste law, environmental and heritage law, and tree law
n
Contributing to pro bono matters alongside fee earning work
n
Working directly across the firm rather than within a single silo
n
A practical, scenario based assessment forms part of the interview process, so genuine attention to detail is valued from day one
n

What you'll bring
n
n
3-5 years post admission experience (PAE) in environment, planning or related practice
n
A current, unrestricted NSW practising certificate
n
Strong attention to detail and the ability to run matters with a degree of autonomy
n
A cooperative approach and willingness to work across practice areas rather than in a single silo
n
Comfort with a realistic, hourly budget based billable target
n
