About the Opportunity
n
As the Housekeeping Team Leader, your primary focus will be providing efficient management and coordination of the cleaning and laundry operations, ensuring a safe, high-quality cleaning and laundry service to our residents in compliance with legislative requirements.
n
This is a hands‐on position that requires you to lead from the front.
n
n
Directing and supervising staff in their duties
n
Rostering and replacing staff when absent
n
Ensuring staff are competent to use machinery required for their position
n
Ensuring that cleaning of residents' rooms and public areas meets the standards and infection control
n
Ensuring that laundry services are conducted in a safe and efficient way that meets the needs of the site and residents
n
Reporting any evidence of pest infestation and breakdown in equipment or standards
n
Responsible for managing and working within budgets for cleaning & laundry
n
Manage the ordering, delivery, stock control and storage processes
n
n
About you
n
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:
n
n
Demonstrated experience in positive staff motivation and enhancement of performance of teams
n
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
n
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
n
Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
n
Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
n




Highly motivated and able to take initiative
n
Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times
n
Understanding of the Residents' Charter of Rights, highly desirable
n
Understanding of the Standards and Guidelines for Residential Aged Care Services, highly desirable
n
n
