Key Responsibilities
n
n
Providing professional, friendly and efficient service to customers.
n
Preparing and serving beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, mixed drinks and non-alcoholic beverages.
n
Operating beer taps and maintaining appropriate beverage presentation and pouring standards.
n
Taking customer orders accurately and processing payments through the POS system.
n
Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately.
n
Opening and closing the bar as required.
n
Maintaining cleanliness, presentation and hygiene standards throughout the bar and customer areas.
n
Restocking refrigerators, bar stations and beverage displays.
n
Monitoring beverage and consumable stock levels.
n
Assisting with stocktakes, stock rotation and inventory control.
n
Receiving and storing beverage deliveries appropriately.
n
Minimising stock wastage, breakages and beverage losses.
n
Ensuring responsible service of alcohol at all times.
n
Checking identification and ensuring compliance with liquor licensing requirements.
n
Identifying and appropriately managing intoxicated or disruptive patrons in accordance with RSA requirements and hotel procedures.
n
Maintaining a safe environment for customers and employees.
n
Responding professionally to customer enquiries, requests and complaints.
n
Supporting functions, events, entertainment and busy service periods.
n
Maintaining knowledge of the hotel's beverage products,



promotions and services.
n
Assisting with training and supporting junior or less-experienced bar staff where required.
n
Coordinating bar operations during allocated shifts when required.
n
Communicating effectively with management, kitchen, restaurant and other hotel staff.
n
Following all workplace health and safety, food safety, hygiene and liquor licensing requirements.
n
Completing other reasonable hospitality duties as required by management.
n

About You
n
n
Minimum 1 year of relevant bar
attendant/bartending
experience.
n
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification applicable in Western Australia.
n
Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and standard mixed drinks.
n
Cocktail preparation experience will be highly regarded.
n
Previous experience working in a hotel, pub, tavern, restaurant or similar licensed hospitality venue.
n
Strong customer service and communication skills.
n
Confidence handling cash, EFTPOS and POS systems.
n
Good understanding of bar hygiene, stock rotation and responsible alcohol service.
n
Ability to remain organised and skilled during busy service periods.
n
Strong attention to detail.
n
Reliable,



punctual and professional work ethic.
n
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
n
Ability to assist with supervising a shift and supporting other team members.
n
Availability to work a flexible roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
