This is an excellent chance for a technically strong engineer to play a key role in stormwater infrastructure planning, management and delivery across the Logan local government area.

About The Role
n
Reporting to the Manager River and Catchment Engineering, you'll provide specialist engineering advice across Council's stormwater programs, including:
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Planning and delivery of stormwater infrastructure and capital works programs.
n
Investigating drainage issues and developing practical engineering solutions.
n
Providing technical advice on stormwater management, infrastructure planning and asset management.
n
Supporting the development and delivery of the Master Drainage Statement of Intent and LGIP.
n
Assessing stormwater management plans and related technical reports.
n
Managing consultants and technical projects.
n
Preparing high-quality technical reports and presenting recommendations to stakeholders and the community.
n
Applying industry best practice, policies,



standards and guidelines to stormwater planning and design.
n

About You
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Environmental, Water Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
n
Eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia.
n
Preferably RPEQ registered, or committed to obtaining registration under the Queensland Professional Engineers Act in Civil or Water Engineering.
n
Substantial demonstrated knowledge of stormwater technical approaches, policies, standards and guidelines.
n
Strong understanding of stormwater infrastructure planning and design, including the Queensland Urban Drainage Manual (QUDM).
n
Experience in stormwater modelling and technical assessment.
n
Experience in project and consultant management.
n
Strong written, verbal, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Experience with relevant stormwater modelling and GIS software.
n
A current C class driver's license.
