Job Description
About the role:

Working alongside our multidisciplinary care team, you'll design and deliver meaningful activities that promote independence, wellbeing and social connection while creating a vibrant community where every resident feels valued and included.

Your day-to-day will involve:
n
n
Plan, implement and evaluate engaging Diversional Therapy programs that promote emotional, social, and physical wellbeing for aged care residents.
n
Develop individualised activity plans tailored to each resident's cognitive and physical abilities, encouraging participation and purpose.
n
Coordinate and promote lifestyle events and recreational activities, including outings and on-site entertainment, in alignment with resident interests and preferences.
n
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with aged care standards, including reporting, assessments, and resident records.
n
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams, volunteers, families, and community groups to enhance the lifestyle experience for residents in a warm and inclusive environment.

About you:
n You're someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and has a natural ability to brighten someone's day. Compassionate, creative and enthusiastic, you thrive on building relationships and creating engaging experiences that help older people feel valued, included and connected. You bring a positive attitude, work collaboratively with others and take pride in making a meaningful contribution to the lives of residents and their families.

In addition, you have;
n
n
Certificate 4 in Diversional Therapy or another qualification recognised by Diversional & Recreational Therapy Australia
n
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role in an Aged Care environment
n
Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety Standards relevant to Diversional therapy activities and within an Aged Care setting
n
Training and/or demonstrated experience in Dementia care
n
Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
n
n
