An excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to join the in-house legal and workplace relations function of a highly regarded, purpose-driven organisation.
n
This is a genuinely varied role offering the opportunity to act as a trusted legal adviser to senior People & Culture stakeholders and leaders across the organisation, with exposure to complex and interesting workplace matters.

The role
n
You will provide specialist legal and strategic advice across a broad range of employment and workplace relations issues, including:
n
n
Complex employee relations matters, including misconduct, performance, redundancy and ill-health termination
n
Enterprise agreements, awards, employment contracts and workplace legislation
n
Leading and overseeing workplace investigations, including sensitive and complex matters
n
Major change and consultation processes
n
Employment disputes and industrial tribunal matters
n
Industrial issues and workers' compensation matters
n
Workplace policies, frameworks and compliance initiatives
n
Developing and delivering workplace relations training
n
Working closely with senior stakeholders and external advisers to manage legal and organisational risk
n

About you




n
You will be an experienced employment lawyer with 5+ years' relevant experience, either in private practice or in-house, with robust technical expertise and the confidence to provide pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Strong employment and workplace relations experience
n
Excellent knowledge of enterprise agreements, awards and employment legislation
n
Experience managing complex investigations and employee relations matters
n
Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
n
The ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical advice
n
Excellent judgement and the ability to manage multiple complex matters
n
n
