Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse for Ophthalmology Practice

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join our friendly and professional ophthalmology practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse who enjoys providing high-quality patient care and would like to develop or further their experience in ophthalmology.

About the Role:
n
The successful applicant will be involved in:
n
Providing skilled and compassionate patient care
n
Assisting ophthalmologists during consultations and procedures
n
Assisting with intravitreal anti-VEGF injections and minor surgical procedures
n
Preparing patients for ophthalmic procedures and treatments
n
Administering medications and eye drops
n
Blood collection (venepuncture) and other basic clinical procedures
n
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
n
Assisting with clinical room preparation and infection control
n
Providing patient education and support
n




Working collaboratively with ophthalmologists and the wider practice team
n
About you:
n
We are looking for someone who is:
n
Currently registered with AHPRA as an RN or EN
n
Professional, caring and patient-focused
n
Well organised and able to work effectively in a busy clinical environment
n
A good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
n
Reliable, motivated and able to work as part of a team
n
Previous ophthalmology experience is advantageous, although training may be provided to the right candidate
n
Experience with venepuncture/blood collection is advantageous, although training may be provided to the right candidate
n
