As an Assessment and Planning Officer, you'll help people in custody identify their strengths, build essential skills and create practical pathways towards education, training and employment. Your work will play a key role in supporting rehabilitation, successful reintegration and reducing re-offending.
n
What You'll Do
n
n
Conduct Core Skills Assessments and develop tailored education and employment plans.
n
Connect offenders with education, vocational training and employment opportunities that support their future goals.
n
Monitor progress, provide reports and contribute to case management and rehabilitation outcomes.
n
Build strong partnerships with internal teams and government and non-government agencies.
n
Support the delivery of education and vocational programs within the custodial setting.
n
Manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and delivering high-quality outcomes.
n
Work confidently and respectfully with a diverse range of people in a challenging and rewarding environment.
n

Qualifications Required
n
n
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, desired but not essential
n
Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role
n
n
Experience Required
n
n
Demonstrated experience in office administration
n
Skills in people management, negotiation, and conflict management
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills,



including the ability to interact with and motivate inmates
n
Experience working in structured environments where compliance and accurate record keeping are essential
n
