Occupational Therapist | Paediatric Clinic

Work within a passionate team of Allied Health professionals comprising of Occupational Therapists,Speech Pathologists, and
PaediatricPsychologists
that work within a clinic and community setting. They specialize in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder in children ages 3-12 years of age, through individual and group therapy programs designed by members of their team.

About the role:
n
n
Clinic based position in Mill Park working within a friendly and inclusive multidisciplinary team.
n
Assist paediatric clients with their emotional, social and physical needs, particularly in the areas of fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, cognitive skills, social development, and establishing self-care routines.
n
Assess children's needs and implement tailored interventions through evidence-based practice.
n
Primarily assisting children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorders
n
Utilise their specially designed sensoryroom with equipment such as swings, hammocks and resources that encourage play and promote graded desensitization.
n

The Support:

Weekly dedicated supervision time with their Lead Occupational Therapist
n
Collaborative work culture - they encourage their Occupational Therapists to share ideas, qualified insight and strategies within their team
n
Collaborate with other clinicians within the clinic to ask questions and participate in case conferences
n
External supervision and training in Autism Assessment paid for
n

Salary of $85,000 - $110,000 + superannuation

Requirements:
n
n
Minimum 1 year postgraduate experience
n
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
n
AHPRA registration
n
Unrestricted working rights in Australia
n
Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
