Job Description
Lead Educator – Infants | 1:3 Ratio | Come Find Your Forever Team
n
If the nursery is your happy place, keep reading...
n
We're looking for a Lead Educator who genuinely loves working with children under two.
n
Not someone who is simply happy to work in the nursery.
n
Someone who chooses it.
n
Someone who understands that the smallest moments — a bottle, a nappy change, a cuddle, a first step, a conversation on the floor — are often the most important parts of the day.
n
And importantly, we want to give you the time to actually enjoy those moments.
n
Our nursery operates at a 1:3 ratio.
n
Yes, one educator to three children.
n
Because we believe infants deserve calm, responsive care — and educators deserve working conditions that allow them to provide it.
n
We're a small, boutique early learning centre with beautiful, large outdoor play environments, an experienced management team and a culture built around relationships.
n
And we're looking for someone who wants to stay.
n
Here's what's waiting for you...
n
1:3 educator-to-child ratio
n Time to connect, engage and be present — rather than feeling like you're constantly rushing to the next task.
n
90% staff discount on childcare fees
n Because benefits should actually make a difference.
n
Paid professional development
n Including First Aid, Child Protection and Safe Sleep training. We invest in keeping our team growing, confident and supported.
n
Beautiful, BIG outdoor play spaces
n Our children have room to move, explore, get outside and experience real play — including our littlest learners.
n
Management that isn't going anywhere
n Our management team has worked together for more than 10 years. There's experience, stability and genuine history behind the centre you'll be joining.
n
We celebrate our team
n End-of-year events, centre team-building experiences and time together outside the everyday routine.
n
Generous Years of Service bonuses
n Because loyalty works both ways — and we believe long-term commitment deserves to be recognised.
n
Who are we hoping to find?
n
An educator who lights up around babies and toddlers.
n
Someone who knows that quality infant care can't be rushed.
n
Someone who understands attachment, responsive caregiving and respectful relationships — and can help other educators understand their importance too.
n
You'll be confident enough to lead, but still happy to get down on the floor and be completely present with the children.
n
You'll build genuine relationships with families, support your team and take pride in creating a nursery that feels calm, warm and full of opportunity.
n
You'll also hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care (or an equivalent approved qualification), and have experience working in early childhood education.
n
We're looking for our forever team.
n
We know that phrase might sound a little different in a job ad.
n
We mean it.
n
Our management team has been together for more than a decade, and we want to build the same longevity within our educator team.
n
We want people who know each other.
n
People who support each other.
n
People our children and families see year after year.
n
And people who don't find themselves back on SEEK six months from now.
n
So if you're looking for:
n
A 1:3 nursery ratio.
n 90% off your childcare fees.
n Paid career development.
n Beautiful outdoor environments.
n A small, boutique centre.
n A stable and experienced management team.
n A workplace that celebrates and rewards its people.
n
...maybe you've just found what you've been scrolling for.
n
Come and meet us.
n
You can learn a lot from a job ad.
n
But you'll learn much more by walking through our doors, meeting our team and seeing our nursery and outdoor environments for yourself.
n
If the Under 2s are where your heart is, we'd love to hear from you.
