We are seeking a qualified and motivated Exercise Scientist to join our Occupational Health team in Royal Park on a full-time basis. This is a varied role combining onsite medical screening, injury-prevention services, workers' compensation support and occupational health administration.
n
The Role
n
As an Occupational Health Assessor, you will deliver high-quality occupational health services to workers and corporate clients. You will conduct workplace health assessments, support injury prevention initiatives and ensure clients receive accurate, timely and professional services.
n
You will work independently and collaboratively while building trusted relationships with workers, clients and other healthcare professionals.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct onsite occupational health and medical screening services
n
Complete functional capacity assessments
n
Perform preliminary drug and urine screening, spirometry, ECGs and audiometry
n
Support injury-prevention and workplace health initiatives
n
Coordinate GP correspondence and follow up according to client requirements
n
Arrange medical appointments for injured workers and liaise with relevant stakeholders
n
Review assessment results and provide accurate, high-quality reports to clients
n
Help workers feel comfortable and supported throughout pre-employment assessments and medical screenings
n
Prepare, clean and maintain assessment rooms and clinical equipment
n




Ensure clinical rooms are appropriately stocked and equipment is sterilised
n
Complete administrative documentation in accordance with accreditation requirements
n
Record onsite service time accurately for billing purposes
n
Travel to client sites when required
n
Maintain safe working practices and promptly report incidents and hazards
n

About You
n
n
Qualification as an Exercise Scientist or Exercise Physiologist
n
Strong commitment to professional and clinical standards
n
Ability to conduct assessments accurately and confidently
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Robust relationship-building and customer-service capabilities
n
Empathetic and professional approach when supporting clients and workers
n
Excellent time-management and prioritisation skills
n
Confidence using computer-based systems and applications
n
Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team
n
Adaptable, organised and comfortable working across different environments
n
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
