Job Description
The Coffee Maker is a busy, independent cafe in beautiful Corlette, Port Stephens. This is a hands-on role that is primarily kitchen-based, preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch menu items, but you'll be equally happy jumping behind the coffee machine or helping the front-of-house team when needed.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items
n
Work independently during busy service periods
n
Follow recipes, portioning and presentation standards
n
Maintain a clean, organised and food-safe kitchen
n
Make quality coffee and assist behind the coffee machine when required
n
Help with front-of-house service during busy periods
n
Assist with dishes, cleaning and general cafe duties
n
Work as part of a small team and help wherever needed
n

About you
n
n
Previous commercial kitchen or cafe cooking experience preferred
n
Confident cooking breakfast and lunch
n




Able to work independently and stay calm during busy service
n
Barista experience or confident using a commercial coffee machine
n
Take pride in food quality and presentation
n
Positive, team-oriented attitude
n
Reliable, punctual and take pride in your work
n
Happy being a true all-rounder rather than being restricted to one area of the cafe
