Universal Cranes is a privately owned family business that operates mobile crane hire branches throughout Queensland and Current South Wales. We have a fleet of 200 cranes ranging from 3T to ****T, including minicranes, Frannas, all-terrains and crawler cranes. Universal Cranes began as a family crane hire business in **** and have grown to become a national crane hire company. We pride ourselves on maintaining a family business service culture while providing our clients with a national high-capacity fleet.

We are currently seeking experienced Riggers and Crane Operators for general crane hire work based in Gladstone and Rockhampton.

Please note: This is a local residential role and is not a FIFO or DIDO position.
n
There is potential for permanent positions within our general hire crew for the right candidates. Qualifications and experience are required as listed below.

REQUIRED:
n
n
No site bans or restrictions (must be able to access all client and industrial sites).
n
Relevant tickets / Licence e.g. Dogman (DG) Basic Rigging Ticket (RB), Heavy Rigid truck Licence (HR), Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Forklift Licence, Working at Heights Ticket, Crane Licence (C0), (C6), (CN).
n
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
n
Availability for irregular hours (early starts, late finishes, night shift, weekend work) as expected in a crane hire business.
n
Demonstrated experience as a positive team contributor.
n
Professionalism in on site presentation and communication with Customers.
n
Maturity and ability to deal with multi-site, multi-cultural teams.
n

PREFERRED:
n
n
Prior experience in mobile crane general hire business
n
A minimum of 3 years' demonstrated experience rigging and/or operation for a range of mobile cranes including pick and carry cranes, city cranes, All Terrain Cranes (i.e. with lattice fly configurations).
n
Current 3 site medipass
n
Intermediate Rigging ticket an advantage
n
Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) truck license
n
Successful candidates will also be subject to the ability to pass pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Testing.
