The Role
n
Rosebank College is seeking an exceptional 0.4 FTE Stage 3 educator to join the College in a job-share teaching partnership with the Director of Stage 3 as we launch Year 5 in ****.
n
This is a permanent part-time teaching position of two days per week, forming one part of a collaborative job-share arrangement for a Year 5 class. The successful applicant and the Director of Stage 3 will share responsibility for the class, working in close partnership to provide students with a consistent, cohesive and high-quality learning and pastoral experience across the week.
n
As part of Rosebank's inaugural Stage 3 teaching team, the successful applicant will also have a unique opportunity to help shape an important new chapter in the College's history. With Stage 3 launching in ****, you will help establish the foundations, culture, and standards of the new Primary program from its inception.
n
The success of this role will be underpinned by a strong professional partnership with the Director of Stage 3. Continuity, communication and collaborative planning will be central to the job-share model, ensuring shared expectations, consistent approaches to teaching and learning, and strong relationships with students and families.
n
Commencing in Term 4, ****, the successful applicant will benefit from a supported transition period, providing time to build the job-share partnership, establish relationships with colleagues, engage deeply with the College's culture, and collaboratively design the learning experiences, structures and practices that will underpin Stage 3.

The Opportunity

Commencing in Term 4, ****, you will have the advantage of a supported transition period to:

Establish an effective and collaborative job-share partnership with the Director of Stage 3
n
Develop shared approaches to planning, assessment, communication, student wellbeing and classroom practice

Establish strong professional relationships

Engage deeply with the College's culture and expectations

Collaborate closely with fellow Stage 3 teachers

Contribute to the design of curriculum, assessment, learning environments and transition programs

Help establish the culture, routines and expectations that will shape the future of Stage 3

During Term 4, ****,
the Stage 3 teaching team will receive full release from face-to-face classroom teaching responsibilities to engage in planning, collaboration, professional learning and preparation for the commencement of the **** school year.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Work in a 0.4 FTE job-share partnership with the Director of Stage 3, sharing responsibility for a Year 5 class
n
Collaboratively plan and deliver a cohesive, engaging and differentiated Stage 3 teaching and learning program
n
Maintain consistent communication, handover processes, expectations and assessment practices to support continuity of learning and wellbeing
n
Use student data and effective literacy and numeracy strategies to drive growth, agency and independence
n
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports student wellbeing, faith formation and pastoral development
n
Build strong partnerships with students, families and colleagues across Years 5–12
n
Contribute to the establishment of the Stage 3 program and a collaborative, reflective professional learning culture
n
Participate in pastoral care and co-curricular activities
n
Uphold the College's Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition, Code of Conduct, Child Protection and WHS requirements

Essential Requirements
n
n
NESA-approved teaching qualifications for primary education
n
Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
n
A minimum of five years' demonstrated success teaching Stage 3
n
Strong knowledge of the NSW Primary Curriculum
n
Effective classroom management skills
n
Commitment to evidence-based pedagogical practice
n
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within cross-stage professional teams
n
Experience supporting student transition programs or working across educational settings (desirable)
n
Valid Working with Children Check
n
Commitment to child safeguarding principles
n
Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and values of the College
