Senior Associate - Banking & Finance | Sydney

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Banking & Finance Senior Associate to join the Sydney office of a leading national law firm.
This highly regarded practice acts for major Australian banks, non-bank lenders, corporate borrowers and government entities on complex, high-value finance transactions across a diverse range of industries.
The team has built an exceptional reputation for delivering commercially focused advice and consistently providing outstanding service to its clients.
You'll be joining a cooperative national practice that values technical excellence, teamwork and long-term career development.
The Opportunity
Working closely with highly respected partners and senior lawyers across Sydney and Brisbane, you'll advise on a broad range of sophisticated banking and finance matters while enjoying genuine client contact and the opportunity to take ownership of significant transactions.
Your work will include advising on:
Corporate and property finance transactions
Secured lending and syndicated facilities
Transaction structuring and due diligence
Facility and security documentation
Legislative and regulatory compliance
Complex advisory matters across multiple industries including real estate, agribusiness, healthcare, education, government, resources and technology
As a senior member of the team,



you'll also mentor junior lawyers, contribute to business development initiatives and play an important role in the continued growth of the practice.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Approximately 7-10 years' post-admission experience in Banking & Finance
Experience gained within a recognised commercial law firm
Strong technical skills and commercial judgement
The ability to manage transactions with a high degree of autonomy
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A collaborative approach and genuine interest in mentoring others
A desire to continue developing your career within a high-performing national team
