TJM Canberra is looking for a positive and motivated Retail & Administration Assistant to become an significant part of our Fyshwick team.
n
This is a varied, customer-focused position combining retail assistance, administration, ordering, stock support and general day-to-day coordination. You will be one of the friendly faces of our business, helping customers while also keeping things organised behind the scenes.
n
You do not need to be a 4WD expert. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, strong people skills, attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn.
n
About the role
n
This is not a position where you will be stuck doing the same task all day.
n
You will work across the retail showroom and administration side of the business, supporting our customers, sales team, workshop and management.
n
Your day may include:
n
n
Welcoming customers into the showroom and providing friendly assistance
n
Answering telephone calls, responding to emails and handling customer enquiries
n
Assisting customers with retail purchases and product information
n
Processing customer orders, payments and associated paperwork
n
Completing general administration, data entry, filing and record management
n
Assisting with purchasing, supplier orders and order follow-ups
n
Receiving, checking, labelling and recording incoming stock
n




Helping maintain accurate stock records and assisting with stocktakes
n
Liaising with customers, suppliers, sales staff and the workshop team
n
Keeping the showroom, counter and administration areas organised and professionally presented
n
Providing general support wherever it is needed across the business
n
n
As your skills and confidence grow, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility in areas such as purchasing, stock control, logistics, sales coordination and broader business administration.

About you

Experience in retail, hospitality, reception, customer service, administration or stock control would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
n
Your attitude, reliability, communication skills and willingness to learn will be equally important.
