The Chance
n
As a Associate or Senior Associate in our Darwin-based medical negligence team, you'll be at the forefront of pursuing justice across a range of medical negligence cases, while also assisting with workers' compensation and personal injury matters.
n
While experience in medical negligence is preferred, it is not essential for success in this role. We are open to applications from experienced legal professionals with exposure to litigation and a solid understanding of evidence, and a genuine passion for helping vulnerable individuals achieve justice.

Provide clients with legal advice and representation to obtain compensation.
n
Work across a variety of client matters that require a high level of sensitivity.
n
Progressing and resolving medical negligence claims and personal injury matters.
n
Provide legal advice to each client's particular matter to suit their level of understanding.
n
Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with clients, including effective and regular communication and managing the client's expectations.
n
Draft legal documentation with a high degree of attention to detail.
n
Manage and run afile load with a high level of commercial and fiscal awareness.
n
Take an active role in working with and mentoring junior members of the team.

What you'll bring
n
n
A Bachelor of Laws with a current practising certificate.
n




Post-admission experience in medical negligence claims and Personal Injury matters
n
A strong understanding of, and ability to interpret the relevant legislation and legal documentation.
n
Enjoy working on legally challenging and factually complex matters.
n
Maturity and confidence to deal with clients who may be experiencing trauma.
n
A desire to be part of a strong, cohesive team that works together to get great results.
n
An innate ability to question, challenge the status quo and always stay ahead of the pack.
n
