n An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Medical Practice Manager to join a well-established specialist medical practice in St Leonards.
n
This is a senior role suited to an organised, commercially minded and people-focused Practice Manager who enjoys taking ownership of the day-to-day operations of a busy specialist practice and working closely with medical specialists.
n
About the Role
n
As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the practice, while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience, staff performance and business outcomes.
n You will have responsibility across practice operations, people management, financial administration, compliance and process improvement.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the specialist medical practice
n
Lead, support and manage the practice team, including recruitment, training, rostering and performance management
n
Manage patient bookings, appointment schedules and patient flow
n
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, budgeting and financial reporting
n
Monitor and improve practice systems, processes and procedures
n
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy legislation and professional standards
n
Oversee patient records and ensure confidentiality and data security
n
Work closely with the specialists to ensure the practice operates efficiently and effectively
n
Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall patient experience
n
Manage competing priorities and resolve operational issues confidently and independently
n

About You
n
We are looking for an experienced Medical Practice Manager who can take ownership of the role and confidently manage the operational and people aspects of a specialist practice.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Previousmedical practice management experience
n
Strong understanding of specialist medical practice operations
n
Proven experience managing and developing staff
n
Experience with budgets, forecasting, invoicing and financial management
n
Strong knowledge of practice management systems and general IT
n
Excellent organisational and time management skills
n
Robust communication and interpersonal skills
n
The ability to work independently and make sound decisions
n
Knowledge of Medicare billing and private health insurance
n
A professional and patient-focused approach
n
High levels of confidentiality, integrity and attention to detail
n
