The Role
n
We are seeking experienced Community Workers to join our Queensland House team in Redbank Plains.
n
This rewarding role involves supporting a male participant with complex mental health needs to achieve his individual goals, maintain independence, develop life skills, and actively participate in his community. You will play a vital role in providing person-centred support, promoting wellbeing, and creating a safe, positive, and empowering environment that enhances the participant's quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Participate in age-appropriate activities and tasks
n
Provide personal care and daily living support
n
Support community access and participation in activities
n
Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
n




Administer medication in accordance with policy and training
n
Complete progress notes and documentation
n
Follow individual support plans and risk management procedures
n
Work in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
n
n
About You
n
n
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Community Worker
n
Experience supporting participants with mental health needs and behaviours of concern
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to build positive relationships with participants and their support networks
n
Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent (preferred)
n
Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
n
Current Australian Driver's Licence
n
Reliable vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance
n
Current Blue Card / Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
n
