About the Role
n
As a Communications Assistant, you'll play a key role in building, maintaining, and supporting telecommunications networks across multiple major clients, including carrier and utility infrastructure.
n
Working as part of a crew (and occasionally independently), you'll contribute to delivering high-quality outcomes across a variety of field-based projects involving fibre, HFC, civil, and network infrastructure.
n
This role suits someone who enjoys hands‐on work, thrives outdoors, and takes pride in being part of essential infrastructure delivery.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Build, maintain, and decommission telecommunications networks across fibre, HFC and civil infrastructure
n
Work across multiple project types and clients including major carriers and utilities
n
Interpret construction plans, diagrams, and work packs
n
Perform installation, hauling,
and placement of cables in pits, ducts, and aerial environments
n
Complete pre-start checks and maintain plant and equipment
n
Participate in site safety initiatives and toolbox talks
n
Complete job documentation and work order updates
n
Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders
n
What We're Looking For
n
We're seeking reliable, safety-focused individuals who enjoy working in a team and contributing to essential infrastructure projects.
n
Essential
n
Current Driver's License
n
Construction White Card
n
Willing to work on an on-call roster, including planned night works
n
Highly Regarded
n
MR/HR Truck License
n
EWP >13m or similar certifications
n
Experience working on carrier networks
n
First Aid or other safety certifications
n
