I'm working with a leading professional services firm in Canberra looking for a Business Services Manager who wants greater responsibility, stronger client exposure and a genuine opportunity to progress their career.
n
You'll work closely with experienced Partners and Managers across a quality portfolio of privately owned and growing businesses, with the opportunity to take real ownership of your clients and play an important role in developing the team around you.

The opportunity

n
Managing a portfolio of quality SME and privately owned clients
n
Reviewing financial statements, tax returns and compliance work
n
Providing tax planning and business advisory support
n
Working directly with business owners and key decision-makers
n
Reviewing work and providing technical guidance to junior team members
n
Identifying opportunities to add value beyond compliance
n
Building and maintaining long-term client relationships
n
Working closely with Partners and Managers on complex client matters
n
Supporting the development of junior and intermediate accountants
n
n




The role is designed for someone who wants to be more commercially involved with their clients while continuing to develop their leadership and technical capability.

About you
n
n
5+ years' Australian public practice experience
n
Strong Business Services and Tax experience
n
Experience managing a portfolio of clients
n
CA/CPA qualified or close to completion
n
Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
n
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
n
Experience reviewing and mentoring junior team members
n
A genuine interest in progressing further into leadership
n
