Job Description
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we

n experienced Coordinator Library Services to join our team.
n
Reporting to the Manager Customer Service & Libraries,
n the Coordinator Library Services leads and coordinates the delivery of
n specialist library services across our branches, outreach settings and mobile
n services. A key focus of this role is providing strong people leadership to a diverse team.
n
Working closely with the Coordinator Branch
n Libraries, you will play an important role in ensuring our Library service is
n connected, collaborative and responsive to changing community needs.
n
You will lead a team responsible for a diverse
n range of services, including library programs and events, children's and youth
n services, outreach activities, digital services and technology initiatives. You
n will also build partnerships with community organisations, education providers
n and other stakeholders to extend the reach and impact of our Library service.
n
Success in this role requires a leader who can
n balance people management, operational service delivery and strategic thinking.
n You will be comfortable leading across multiple service locations, developing
n team capability, managing performance and driving continuous improvement, while
n ensuring services remain responsive to the changing needs of our communities.
n
We are looking for someone who can balance
n day-to-day service delivery with thinking about what comes next for our
n libraries and the communities they serve.
n
This position may
n be required to work across multiple library branches and service locations to
n support operational requirements. The role operates within a 35-hour roster
n that may be scheduled across Monday to Sunday in accordance with the applicable
n Award and includes the requirement to participate in Saturday rostering.
n
To succeed in this role you will have:
n
n
Degree qualifications in Library and Information Studies or a related field, with eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
n
Significant experience working as a librarian, including experience delivering programs or events.
n
A current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
n
Strong people leadership skills and the ability to build positive, collaborative working relationships.
n
A community-focused approach and an interest in developing library services that are accessible, inclusive, and responsive.
n
The ability to coordinate competing priorities, people and resources while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
n
An interest in innovation, emerging technology, and contemporary library practice.
n
A Drivers licence
n
n
On a typical day this role will:
n
n
Lead, coach and support the Library Services team.
n
Coordinate library programs, events, outreach, digital services, technology initiatives and children's and youth service functions.
n
Work collaboratively with the Coordinator Branch Libraries and Manager Customer Service & Libraries to coordinate service delivery across the library network.
n
Plan and coordinate staffing, rosters, leave and workloads to maintain service continuity.
n
Work with community organisations, education providers and stakeholders to develop partnerships and opportunities.
n
Review customer feedback, service performance and program outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.
n
Support the development and implementation of recent services, technology, and contemporary library practices.
n
Contribute to broader Library planning and help shape the future direction of the service.
n

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per
n week
n
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $101,015 to $113,067 depending on skills and experience
n
