You will play an important role in delivering a safe, comfortable and positive travel experience for passengers on our new Mackay – Cairns – Mackay service.

About the Role
n
This is an opportunity to join our growing team as a Coach Captain, operating our modern coaches on long-distance passenger services between Mackay and Cairns.
n
The service will operate on a two-day schedule, with an overnight stay in Cairns:
n
Day 1: Mackay → Cairns, approximately 6:00am – 7:00pm
n
Overnight stay: Cairns
n
Day 2: Cairns → Mackay, approximately 7:30am – 8:30pm
n
Positions are available on fixed runs or rotating schedules, with flexibility required to accommodate service requirements.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
Safely operating coaches between Mackay and Cairns
n
Completing scheduled services in a professional and timely manner
n
Providing friendly and professional customer service to passengers
n
Conducting pre-start and post-trip vehicle checks
n
Maintaining a high standard of safety and vehicle presentation
n
Assisting passengers where required
n
Following all relevant road transport, fatigue management and safety requirements
n
Maintaining accurate trip and operational records
n




Representing Bundaberg Coaches in a professional manner at all times
n
About You
n
We are looking for someone who:
n
Holds a minimum HR Licence
n
Holds a QLD Driver's Authority / Endorsement, or is willing to obtain one
n
Has an excellent driving history and strong commitment to road safety
n
Is reliable, punctual and professional
n
Has strong communication and customer service skills
n
Is committed to fatigue management and fitness for duty
n
Can work independently while also being part of a team
n
Is comfortable with overnight stays in Cairns
n
Is flexible and available to work the required roster
n
Takes pride in providing passengers with a safe and enjoyable travel experience
n
Previous coach or passenger transport experience is highly desirable
n
