Restaurant 317 is an award-winning Mediterranean and Italian restaurant located in Parramatta, NSW. Established in ****, Restaurant 317 has become one of Parramatta's longest-standing restaurants, renowned for its authentic Mediterranean cuisine, exceptional customer service, and commitment to accommodating a wide range of dietary requirements. The restaurant is proudly recognised as the first restaurant in NSW accredited by Coeliac Australia and offers a diverse menu featuring premium steaks, seafood, pizzas, pastas, grilled meats, vegan, vegetarian, halal-certified, and gluten-free dishes.

Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, we are seeking an experienced, motivated, and passionate Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team.
n
Position: Cook
n
Location: Parramatta NSW
n
Working Hours: 38 hours per week
n
Salary: $70,********,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
n
Requirements:
n
n
Certificate III or IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent qualification.
n
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Cook (Grade-3).
n
Strong knowledge of Mediterranean and Italian cuisine.
n
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
n
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
n
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
n
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
n
Ability to supervise and train kitchen staff.
n
High attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
n
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality meals in accordance with Restaurant 317's menu standards.
n
Assisting head chef in menu planning and development, including introducing new dishes and seasonal menu items.
n
Preparing a variety of Mediterranean and Italian dishes including pizzas, pastas, seafood, grilled meats, and specialty dietary meals.
n
Fully Conversant in the use of knives, food processor and the operation of rotisserie machine used to cook chickens and meat
n
Seasoning of food during cooking for the appropriate taste, portion food, place in dishes, add gravy, sauces and garnishes
n
Preparation of sauces, salads and dressings
n
Supervising kitchen operations and providing guidance to cooks and kitchen hands.
n
Training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, kitchen procedures, and food safety practices.
n
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering, receiving, and storage of food supplies.
n
Implementing stock rotation procedures and minimising food wastage.
n
Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
n
Collaborating with management and front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
n
