n AWX Executive is currently seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers / Fabricators to join a leading Australian manufacturing business based in Western Suburbs, Brisbane.
n
These are full-time casual positions paying $58/hr + super, with the opportunity to transition into permanent employment after 6 months for the right candidates.
n
You'll be joining a busy, modern manufacturing facility producing high-quality stainless steel and sheet metal products for commercial and industrial applications.
n
The Role Working within the fabrication and production team, your duties will include:
n
n
Sheet metal fabrication and assembly
n
Working predominantly with stainless steel and light-gauge metals
n
MIG and TIG welding where required
n
Cutting, folding, forming and finishing sheet metal components
n
Reading and interpreting workshop and engineering drawings
n




Operating fabrication machinery, hand tools and power tools
n
Measuring and marking materials accurately
n
Completing quality checks on finished products
n
Maintaining a clean and safe workshop
n
Working to production schedules and quality standards
n
n
About You To be successful, you will ideally have:
n
n
Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, Fabricator or similar
n
Strong sheet metal fabrication experience
n
Experience working with stainless steel
n
MIG and/or TIG welding experience
n
Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
n
Confident use of fabrication equipment, hand tools and power tools
n
Robust measuring and attention-to-detail skills
n
Ability to work effectively within a production environment
n
Trade qualification in Sheet Metal/Fabrication highly regarded
n
Forklift Licence (LF) advantageous
n
n
