We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Nurse Unit Manager - Perioperative (ANUM) to lead and support our Perioperative Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care and foster a supportive team environment within a leading healthcare organisation.

About the Role:
n
As an ANUM in our Perioperative Unit, you will work collaboratively with the Perioperative Services Manager to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the ward. You will play a crucial role in clinical leadership, staff development, and maintaining exceptional standards of patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team on the Nursing - Theatre, Anaesthetic and Recovery Unit
n
Assisting the Perioperative Services Manager with daily ward operations, resource management, and rostering.
n
Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans for medical and cardiac patients.
n
Mentoring and supporting nursing staff, including recent graduates and junior team members.
n
Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and relevant clinical standards.
n
Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies within the unit.
n
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning.
n
Managing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges effectively.
n
n
About You:
n
You are a highly motivated Registered Nurse with significant experience in Perioperative Nursing, including previous leadership or supervisory experience. You possess excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to lead with confidence and compassion.

Experience in Perioperative nursing.

Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a senior nursing role.

Remuneration
n
$*****- $*****+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (VICAssociateNurse Unit Manager yr1-yr2)
