About the role
n
Reporting to the Head of Training & Checking, you will lead and oversee the Cabin Crew training and standards function, working closely with Flight Operations, Safety, Crew Planning, People & Culture and other operational stakeholders.
n
The role can be based at our headquarters at Cairns Airport, our Southbank office in Brisbane, or we are open to a flexible working arrangement for the right candidate.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Leading the planning, coordination and delivery of Cabin Crew technical, standards and recurrent training, re-evaluations and competency assurance activities.
n
Ensuring training is delivered consistently, effectively and within regulatory and company requirements.
n
Maintaining oversight of Cabin Crew training currency, qualifications, records and competency requirements.
n
Ensuring training and standards comply with CASA requirements, the Skytrans AOC, approved manuals, policies and procedures.
n
Supporting CASA surveillance, audits and other regulatory activities.
n
Developing and maintaining the Cabin Crew annual and recurrent training program.
n
Coordinating SEP,
CCOP and associated training courses, resources, instructors, facilities and equipment.
n
Reviewing training content, procedures and supporting documentation to ensure they remain current and effective.
n
Promoting a strong safety culture and supporting the application of Skytrans' Just Culture principles.
n
Leading and developing Cabin Crew instructors, assessors and future leaders.
n
Supporting workforce capability, succession planning and operational readiness.
n
n
About You
n
We are looking for an experienced aviation training qualified who combines strong technical knowledge with genuine leadership capability.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
n
A current CASR ******* Instrument of Approval.
n
At least 5 years' experience in training within an operational environment, including assessing development needs and developing training strategies.
n
Previous airline experience in a learning, training or development role.
n
Excellent knowledge of CASA regulations and aviation training requirements.
n
Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
n
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate people.
n
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise in a dynamic operational environment.
n
A genuine commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
n
The ability to work collaboratively across operational and corporate teams.
n
