Our Client is seeking a qualified and safety focused Carpenter to join their facilities and maintenance team across the Maitland & Upper Hunter Region
n
Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry maintenance, repair and construction services across site facilities. The role requires a proactive individual who takes pride in their workmanship, works safely and contributes positively to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Perform carpentry maintenance, repair and installation works.
n
Deliver a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders.
n
Complete works in accordance with site procedures and supervisor instructions.
n
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working order and report faults as required.
n
Complete JSAs, permits and other required safety documentation.
n
Adhere to all WHS policies, procedures and PPE requirements.
n
Participate in toolbox talks, safety observations and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Complete incident, accident and hazard reporting as required.
n
Support site operations through effective teamwork and communication.
n
Ensure work areas remain safe, clean and compliant at all times.

Skills & Experience
n
n
Relevant Carpentry Trade Qualification.
n
Current Driver's Licence.
n
Construction White Card.
n
Proven experience in carpentry, maintenance or facilities environments.
n
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
n
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
n
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
n
Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
n
Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
n
Experience using maintenance management systems such as AroFlo or Maximo will be highly regarded.
n
Current First Aid Certificate is advantageous.
n
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
n
Physically fit and capable of working in varying site conditions.
n
Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
n
Solid focus on safety, professionalism and customer service.
