The Opportunity

As an External Claims Adjuster with Crawford, you'll manage a diverse regional portfolio, combining technical property knowledge, investigation, problem-solving and customer service.
n
You'll be responsible for:
n
n
Managing claims from initial notification through to settlement
n
Inspecting damage, investigating cause and assessing the extent of loss
n
Reviewing policies, claim documentation and evidence to determine coverage
n
Coordinating trades, service providers and technical specialists
n
Setting reserves, managing costs and making settlement recommendations
n
Preparing transparent, professional reports and maintaining accurate claim records
n
Delivering strong customer outcomes while meeting compliance, KPI and service standards
n
n
You'll have the autonomy to manage your portfolio while being backed by an experienced, high-performing team.

What You'll Bring
n
Essential
n
n
Current driver's licence
n
Experience in loss adjusting, insurance claims, property, building, construction, trades or a related field
n
Strong communication, stakeholder management and report writing skills
n
Ability to work autonomously and maintain accurate claim documentation
n
Australian/New Zealand work rights and ability to complete a police check
n
n
Desirable
n
n
Loss adjusting experience or relevant professional qualifications
n
Knowledge of insurance terminology, practices and policy conditions
n
Understanding of basic business accounting procedures
n
CILA membership or willingness to undertake further study
