In this role, you will deliver high-quality care and enriching experiences for children aged 5 to 12 years across Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs. Based at a dedicated Adelaide service, you will build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues while also having opportunities to provide support across other services within the region as required.

In this role, you will:
n
n
Prioritise the safety, wellbeing and protection of children in every interaction, ensuring compliance with Child Safe Standards and the National Quality Framework (NQF).
n
Be competent to act as a responsible person
n
Maintain active supervision of children and ensure educator-to-child ratios are consistently met.
n
Foster positive,
trusting relationships with children that encourage confidence, independence and a strong sense of belonging.
n
Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate programs and activities.
n
Build professional relationships with families while maintaining confidentiality and fulfilling your duty of care responsibilities.
n
Complete all required child protection and safeguarding training and promptly report any concerns through established policies and procedures.
n
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
An ACECQA-approved qualification relevant to school-age care.
n
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
n
RRHAN-EC certification.
n
Current First Aid and CPR
n
Geccko Training - Foundations of Child Safety & Advanced Child Safety Training
n
Experience working with groups of children in an education and care setting.
n
Strong communication, and organisational skills.
n
Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and child protection requirements.
n
A commitment to providing high-quality care and building positive relationships with children and families.
n
n
Applicants must hold permanent Australian working rights or permanent residency.
