Full Time position in Barambah and Moffatdale

James Heading Pastoral operates two agricultural properties in Barambah and Moffatdale.
n
They are looking for a Farm Manager to join their team.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Plan, organise, control, coordinate, perform and be responsible for the management function of the two farming enterprises located at the West Barambah and Moffatdale properties;
n
Assist in the management of the cattle grazing components of the business with reference to breeding, raising, marketing, sale and maintenance of their health and condition;
n
Manage, plan and co-ordinate the grape and olive farming component of the business concerning the planting, cultivating, harvesting,



sale and transportation of the crops with due regard for fertilising, pest and weed control;
n
Maintenance of farm buildings, fences, plant equipment and water supply systems and infrastructure;
n
Maintenance of farm records, evaluation and planning of farming activities, monitoring of market activity and planning livestock and crop production accordingly;
n
Management of business capital, selection, appointment and management staff and contractors.

Control of feral animals.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
n
n
Completion of a Bachelor degree and at least 2 years of post-qualification employment experience as a Mixed Crop and Cattle Farm Manager, OR;
n
At least 5 years of employment experience in the relevant field as a Mixed Crop and Cattle Farm Manager.
n
n
