Our client is looking to hire an experienced perioperative leader ready to run their own unit at a busy, fast-paced Brisbane day surgery.

About the Facility
n
A well-established private day surgery in central Brisbane, running a high-volume theatre list across gastroenterology, gynaecology, plastics and urology. The pace is real, the lists are full, and the site needs a leader who can run it end to end.

The Role
n
This is a Nurse Unit Manager position reporting directly to the Director Of Nursing. You will be accountable for clinical standards, staffing and day-to-day theatre performance.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Leading and managing the theatre nursing team across a range of surgical specialties
n
Building and overseeing rosters to ensure the unit runs efficiently
n
Driving clinical standards,



compliance and quality across the floor
n
Working closely with the DON on unit performance and operations
n
Developing and mentoring theatre staff.
n
Scrubbing and scouting as required to support the list
n
n
What You Will Need
n
n
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
Proven experience in a NUM, ANUM or senior perioperative leadership role
n
Solid scrub and scout experience across mixed specialties (gastro, gynae, plastics or urology highly regarded)
n
Demonstrated ability to manage a team and run a unit at pace in a high-volume day surgery setting
n
Confidence in rostering, staff management and theatre coordination
n
A hands-on, practical leadership style
n
Full eligibility to work in Australia
