Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator | Brisbane

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Theatre Nurse to join the busy Perioperative Team as a Floor Coordinator at a private hospital in Brisbane. This permanent full-time role is ideal for Theatre RNs with some floor coordination experience and a keen interest in developing their skills further.

ABOUT THE ROLE
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
Coordinating daily Theatre operations across 6 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, and the CSSD department;
n
Supporting and coordinating staffing requirements to ensure safe and efficient service delivery;
n
Working collaboratively with Theatre teams, Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), and CSSD to ensure smooth daily operations;
n
Overseeing theatre flow, patient movement, and operational activities throughout the department;
n
Contributing to achieving high-quality clinical and operational outcomes;
n
Providing leadership and support to the perioperative team in a busy, fast-paced environment;
n
Assisting in the coordination of resources to ensure efficient theatre utilisation;
n
Fostering a collaborative team culture focused on excellence in patient care;
n




Supporting the ongoing growth and development of the Perioperative Department, including the new CSSD service.
n
REQUIREMENTS
n
Current registration with AHPRA;
n
Being a Level 2 registered nurse; previous experience as a Clinical Nurse is highly desirable;
n
Relevant postgraduate qualifications (desirable);
n
Experience in coordinating busy theatres;
n

REMUNERATION

The hospital, located in Brisbane, is a 70-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 3 operating theatres. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.
