About the roleWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Gardener/Horticulturist to join our team at Second Nature Gardening in Hobart, Tasmania.
This is a casual position that will involve working on a range of landscaping and gardening projects across the local area.
You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of the gardens and outdoor spaces we manage.
What you'll be doing
Carrying out general gardening duties such as mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning
Planting, caring for, and maintaining a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees
Assisting with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems
Identifying and treating plant diseases and pests
Providing advice and guidance to clients on garden care and design
Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications in horticulture or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Solid practical gardening skills and knowledge of plant care
Experience in operating a range of gardening equipment and machinery
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently




Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
A customer-focused approach and the ability to provide helpful advice to clients
A valid driver's license and your own reliable transport
Be able to provide a police check and working with vulnerable people card (or have the ability to obtain).
