The Nightshift Forklift
Operator/Storeperson
is a core operational role within the Australian Produce Partners ripening centre team at Eastern Creek. Reporting to the Floor Supervisor, the objective of this role to receive, store, move, and despatch produce in accordance with site requirements. The nightshift Forklift
Operator/Storeperson
will work closely with the CDC operations team to manage incoming product between 10pm and 6:00am in preparation of the day shift of employees starting at 4:00am.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Safely operate MHE to load, unload, and move produce between receiving, ripening rooms and storage
n
Secure loads correctly and verify pallet stability before every movement; ensure secure stacking within racking and floor storage limits
n
Receive, put away, and retrieve stock in accordance with site storage plans and product handling requirements
n
Participate in cycle counts and stocktakes as directed; promptly report any inventory discrepancies
n
Safely and carefully carry out ripening room tasks including tarping, untarping, insertion and removal of temperature probes, and opening and closing of ripening room doors in accordance with SOPs
n
Ensure produce quality is maintained through careful handling; report any signs of damage, contamination,



or quality deviation immediately
n
Maintain the facility free from potential foreign object contamination at all times
n
Follow all food safety SOPs, work instructions, and protocols relevant to warehouse operations
n
Work in a safe manner at all times so as not to jeopardise the health and safety of yourself or any other person on site
n

About you
n
n
Current Forklift Licence (LF class)
n
Current Driver's Licence (open, C class)
n
Ability to understand, write, and communicate clearly in English; basic computer and RF scanning literacy
n
Right to work in Australia
n
Prior experience in a fresh produce, cold chain, or
warehouse/distribution
centre environment (desirable)
n
Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning equipment (desirable)
n
Familiarity with HACCP, SQF, or Freshcare food safety certification requirements (desirable)
n
Working knowledge of WHS legislation and safe work practices in a cold store or warehouse environment (desirable)
n
