About the role:
n
We are seeking a Technical Officer to join our Regulation and Compliance team based in Mackay, on a Monday to Friday roster with reasonable overtime available. Reporting through to the Service Coordinator, you will work closely with the team to carry out service work in line with quality-controlled processes and procedures.
n
Your main responsibilities will include:
n
n
Conduct calibration and repair of gas detection and electrical equipment devices in Workshops and on Mine sites around the Bowen Basin as required
n
Conduct diesel emissions analysis in line with relevant test methods and work instructions
n
Ensure any quality or non-conformance issues are reported to the appropriate manager
n
Conduct routine maintenance and housekeeping
n
Assist in initiating leads or opportunities for sales of services or products
n
Conducting audits and risk assessments
n
Being an advocate for safety and demonstrate behaviours aligned to safety
n
n
About you:
n
Your education,



experience and skills will include:
n
n
Electrical or electronics trade qualifications or equivalent
n
Current Drivers Licence
n
Underground coal mining experience preferred but not essential
n
An ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff (verbal and written)
n
A working ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
n
Robust attention-to-detail
n
Computer literacy demonstrated ability to use Microsoft office applications
n
EEHA Certification (desirable but not essential)
n
Experience operating calibration equipment and calibrate devices used in gas detection (desirable but not essential)
n
