We're Hiring: Occupational Therapist | Paediatric Allied Health | Clayton South & Heidelberg
Are you an Occupational Therapist who lights up when a child hits a milestone they've been working toward for months?
Whether you're a
recent graduate ready to launch your career
or an experienced OT looking for a practice that genuinely invests in your growth — we want to meet you.
About First Step Therapy Services
At FSTS, we specialise in paediatric therapy for children aged 0–18 years across our Clayton South and Heidelberg clinics. Our multidisciplinary team takes a strengths-based, family-centred approach — building real, functional goals with children and the people who love them most.
We're growing, and we're looking for an OT who wants to grow with us.
We know what early-career and mid-career OTs actually need — and we've built our support structure around that:
Structured New Graduate Program
— you won't be thrown in the deep end
Weekly 1:1 supervision
with a Senior Occupational Therapist
Monthly in-service training
and ongoing PD investment
Collaborative multidisciplinary team
(physio, OT, allied health)
Clinics built around kids — genuine, warm, and fun to work in
Leadership team that mentors, not just manages
Your day-to-day will include
Paediatric assessments and therapy across developmental, sensory, and functional domains
Functional Capacity Assessments and reports (full training provided)
Home modification assessments and reports (full training provided)
Complex equipment prescription — seating, wheeled mobility, and more (full training provided)
Collaborating with physiotherapists, educators, support coordinators, and families
What you need
Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy
AHPRA registration (or imminent graduation — new grads welcome!)
A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid/CPR, and a valid Australian driver's licence
Ready to take the first step?
We'd love to hear your story.
