Senior Project Engineer – $100M Defence Project | Nowra

An established Tier 2 commercial builder is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a major $100 million Defence project based in Nowra, NSW.
n
This is a long-term opportunity to join a well-resourced project team delivering a complex, high-profile Defence project on the NSW South Coast.
n The Role Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you will take ownership of key construction packages from procurement through to completion.
n Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Management and coordination of subcontractors and consultants
n
Procurement and delivery of major trade packages
n
Design coordination and resolution of technical issues
n
Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction documentation
n
Managing RFIs, variations and project documentation
n
Monitoring programme, quality and project deliverables
n
Coordinating between site, design and commercial teams
n
Ensuring works meet project specifications and Defence requirements
n
Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
n
Maintaining high safety and quality standards
n
n
About You
n
n
Previous experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer with a commercial head contractor
n
Experience on large-scale commercial, Defence, government or complex construction projects
n
Solid technical and construction knowledge
n
Proven experience managing subcontractors and significant trade packages
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Relevant Engineering, Construction Management or Building qualification
n
Australian construction experience essential
n
Defence experience and/or relevant security clearance highly regarded
n
