About the Role:
n We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Consultants to join our team at Rookwood General Cemetery located at Rookwood and Woronora Memorial Park located in Sutherland NSW.
n
As a key point of contact for families, you will provide expert guidance and support in navigating our range of burial and memorialisation services.
n
This role is primarily desk-based, with a strong focus on meeting with families, managing enquiries, and delivering a high standard of customer care, while also supporting on-site family needs as required.
n
As a Family Consultant, you play a critical role in delivering both exceptional service and achieving sales outcomes, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, sensitivity, and compliance.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n

Build and manage relationships with families to understand their needs and preferences
n
Provide compassionate, informed guidance to families across burial and memorialisation options
n
Deliver exceptional customer service, presenting products and services in a professional and respectful manner
n
Identify and act on sales opportunities, working towards individual and team sales targets
n
Prepare contracts and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organisational requirements
n
Maintain accurate records and customer information in internal systems
n
Provide administrative support, including quotations, invoicing, receipting, and follow-ups
n
Ensure all interactions are conducted with cultural awareness, confidentiality, and sensitivity
n
Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to Workplace Health and Safety requirements
n
Work collaboratively with team members and support broader site operations as required
n

Requirements:
n
n
Proven experience in customer service and/or sales (essential)
n
Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse range of families
n
Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
n
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
n
High level of attention to detail and administrative capability
n
Strong computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
n
Current Driver's Licence
n
Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
