Job Description
Barker Trailers has been manufacturing semi-trailers for over 50 years in Victoria, and we employ approximately 130 staff across our two sites – Woodend and Maryborough. Our products are sold Australia wide, and we are cutting-edge leaders in design and development of products for the transport sector.

This is a hands-on role preparing and priming heavy trailer components to a high standard before top coating. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, and understands the importance of quality finishes.

Your responsibilities will include:
n

Preparing steel components for painting.
n
Cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
n
Mixing and applying epoxy and primer coatings.
n
Operating conventional spray equipment.
n
Identifying and rectifying surface imperfections.
n




Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
n
Working with the production team to meet daily targets.
n
Following all workplace health and safety procedures.
n

About You
n
n
Previous experience as a primer or industrial spray painter.
n
Experience in the heavy trailer, transport, manufacturing, or structural steel industry (preferred).
n
Knowledge of epoxy primers and industrial coating systems.
n
High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
A reliable attitude and strong work ethic.
n
n
This is a fulltime permanent role.
