Every day, a network of contracted delivery drivers heads out from our Wetherill Park depot to reach customersall throughoutNSW. Keeping that network running safely, on time, and on budget is where this role comes in.We'relooking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to take ownership of that network.Someone who can bring structure, accountability, and solid governance to a fast-paced, contractor-driven operation.

The Opportunity

The Transport Operations Manager will oversee the performance, compliance, and commercial management
ofcontractorsoperatingout
of the Wetherill Park depot.With our delivery
networkpredominantly
beingpowered by contractorsthis roleis responsible forstrengthening those contractor
relationships,monitoringoperational
performance, and driving continuous improvement across the network.This role will focus on delivering strong outcomes across Cost, Quality, Safety, and Contractor Compliance.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Oversee the performance of transport
contractorsoperatingfrom
the Wetherill Park depot, ensuring delivery against operational KPIs including service levels, cost, safety, and quality.
n
Monitor and analyse transport data
toidentifyperformance
trends and drive continuous improvement.
n
Maintain site maps for customer locations, ensuring
theyremainaccurateand
up to date.
n
Manage contractor relationships, performance reviews, and corrective actions whererequired.
n
Ensure contractors meet all compliance requirements, including contractual obligations, licensing, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations.
n
Monitor transport costs
andidentifyopportunities




to improve operational efficiency and network performance.
n
Work collaboratively with warehouse, routing, and planning teams to optimise delivery outcomes and resolve service issues.
n
Lead route optimisation initiatives to improve delivery efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
n
Support contractor onboarding, incident investigations, and operational improvement initiatives.
n
Conduct safety audits at customer sites to ensure drivers are following correct processes and procedures.
n
Lead and support the Transport Supervisor and site-based team in the day-to-day management of contracted drivers.
n

About You
n
You are an experienced transport
orlogisticsprofessional
who understands how to balance operational performance, contractor relationships, and compliance requirements.You bring a proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to analyse performance data, address operational challenges, and work collaboratively with contractors and internal teams to deliver strong outcomes.

Ideally, you will have:
n
n
Experience in
transport,logistics,
or supply chain operations, ideally managing contracted transport providers.
n
A solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and transport compliance obligations.
n
Experience managing transport KPIs, contractor performance, or service delivery frameworksStrong communicationand stakeholder management skills.
n
A practical, hands-on approach to improving operational performance.
n
