What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training?

You would be employed by Work & Training - one of the largest employers of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted to our Hobart client for the duration of your apprenticeship.
n
You would be part of a committed team and under guidance of the site supervisor.
n
Theory training is conducted on-site.
n
Your Work & Training Apprenticeship Employment Consultant provides mentoring and employment support.
n
At the completion of your apprenticeship you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC*****) and become a qualified tradesperson.

Learn how to:
n
n
Assist in domestic construction projects, including renovations and new builds.
n
Work safely on busy building sites, alongside of other trade persons.
n
Utilise power tools safely and in accordance to WHS policies and procedures.
n
n
Desired attributes:
n
n
VET Pre-Vocational Construction qualification.
n
Previous work experience.
n
n
Essential attributes:
n
n
Hold a current drivers licence and a reliable vehicle.
n
Have a White Card
n
Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
n

What happens next?

Suitable applicants will be contacted for an initial discussion regarding this apprenticeship.

You may be asked to complete aptitude testing, or other documentation.
n
The third stage of recruitment involves a face to face interview with the host employer.
n
If you are the successful applicant, you will be signed up in to your qualification, and a start date will be arranged.
