About the role
n
At AGL, we're helping shape Australia's energy future and are looking for an experienced maintenance leader to join our Hydro team in Mount Beauty NSW. Reporting to the Hydro Maintenance Manager, you'll lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering protected, reliable and efficient maintenance, operational and project activities across AGL's hydro generation assets.

This is a hands-on leadership role, where you'll oversee maintenance programs, outages, capital works and continuous improvement initiatives while building team capability, driving a strong safety culture and ensuring the ongoing performance of critical infrastructure that powers Australian communities.

What You Will Be Doing
n
Lead, coach and develop maintenance and operational teams across NSW hydro assets.
n
Coordinate maintenance programs, outages, breakdown response activities and project delivery.
n
Manage contractors, resources, budgets and work schedules to achieve operational objectives.
n
Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
n
Collaborate with engineering, planning, operations and stakeholder teams to improve asset performance and reliability.
n
What You Will Bring
n
A trade qualification or engineering qualification, with experience in power generation,
utilities or heavy industrial environments.
n
Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary maintenance, operations or field-based teams.
n
Robust maintenance planning, contractor management and project delivery experience.
n
A commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
n
Well-developed problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
Experience using SAP or a similar CMMS will be highly regarded.
