Job Description
Lyrebird Enterprises is seeking an experienced and safety-focused
Woodworker/Allrounder
to join our manufacturing team. This position involves hands-on carpentry work using both traditional and modern techniques, as well as assisting with packing, dispatch, deliveries, and pickups. The successful candidate will be confident operating a forklift and must hold a valid driver's licence.

Key responsibilities
n
Carry out a range of carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber components.
n
Operate and maintain a variety of power tools and woodworking machinery, including drop saws, spindle moulders, routers, nail guns, and sanders.
n
Read and interpret technical drawings, production plans, and job specifications.
n
Safely operate a forklift to move materials and finished products.
n
Ensure all work meets established quality, accuracy, and safety standards.
n
Assist with deliveries and pick up of orders and stock.
n
General workshop organisation and cleanliness.
n
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and targets.
n
About you
n
Demonstrated experience in carpentry,



ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
n
Proficiency in the safe use of power tools and woodworking equipment.
n
Robust understanding of timber properties, joinery methods, and fabrication techniques.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
n
Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
n
Basic computer literacy.
n
Desirable: Experience operating CNC machinery or automated woodworking equipment.
n
Great working hours. Finish early Fridays.
n
