n Working within a Level 5 Maternity Service, you'll provide specialist obstetric and gynaecology care alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team of specialists, midwives, nurses, allied health professionals and support staff. n About the Service The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department provides comprehensive maternity and gynaecological services across a diverse regional population and acts as a referral centre for surrounding hospitals.
n The service offers exposure to a wide range of complex obstetric and gynaecological presentations, including:

Level 5 Maternity Service with 24/7 Birth Suite and dedicated theatre support
n
Comprehensive Neonatal Services supported by specialist Paediatricians
n
Advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic gynaecological surgery
n
Complex urogynecology, chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis management
n
Multidisciplinary surgery with Urology, Colorectal and General Surgery teams
n




Well-equipped outpatient clinics featuring modern colposcopy and ultrasound technology
n

This diverse caseload provides an excellent environment to treat complex patients while developing specialist expertise. About the Role As a Staff Specialist – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, you will provide high-quality specialist care across both obstetric and gynaecological services while contributing to teaching, supervision and the ongoing development of the department. You will:

Deliver specialist obstetric and gynaecology care across inpatient, outpatient and theatre settings
n
Perform a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological surgical procedures
n
Participate in an attractive on-call roster with on-call retainer and paid call-backs
n
Supervise and mentor Registrars, Hospital Medical Officers and medical students
n
Support Accredited and Unaccredited O&G; Registrars, Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) undertaking the RANZCOG pathway and newly appointed Consultants
n
Contribute to multidisciplinary care, quality improvement and clinical governance activities
n

About You To be successful, you will have:
n
n
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), or an equivalent specialist qualification recognised in Australia
n
Specialist registration, or eligibility for specialist registration, with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
n
Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number
n
Broad experience across obstetrics and gynaecology, including competency in a wide range of obstetric and surgical procedures
n
Experience in advanced gynaecological surgery, ideally including laparoscopic surgery
n
Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervising medical students, trainees and junior medical staff
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
n
A compassionate, patient-centred approach to women's healthcare
