About the jobCompany DescriptionOur Space Psychology – Tamborine Mountain provides psychological services including individual therapy, cognitive assessments, behavioural assessments, and functional and NDIS-related evaluations. The practice is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for clients of diverse backgrounds and needs. Two trained therapy dogs are part of the team and contribute to a calming, client-centered atmosphere. Located on Tamborine Mountain, QLD, the service focuses on evidence-based care that supports meaningful change in clients' daily lives.
Role DescriptionThis is a part-time, on-site Psychologist role based at Our Space Psychology on Tamborine Mountain, QLD. The Psychologist will provide individual therapy, conduct cognitive and behavioural assessments, and complete functional and associated NDIS assessments in line with qualified standards and ethical guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, collaborating with other health and community professionals as needed, and participating in case discussions or supervision. The role also involves contributing to a warm, inclusive clinic environment,
engaging appropriately with therapy dogs in the practice, and supporting clients in setting and achieving therapeutic goals.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply evidence-based interventions across a range of presentations.
Strong Counseling skills, including rapport building, therapeutic communication, and crisis support where appropriate.
Competence in Psychological Assessment, including cognitive, behavioural, functional, and NDIS-related evaluations.
Understanding of Medicine and broader health contexts to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary providers.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the appropriate professional board or authority.
Experience working with diverse clients, including those with disability, neurodivergence, or complex psychosocial needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong record-keeping and report-writing abilities.
Commitment to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and culturally safe, inclusive care.
