As we continue to expand our renewable energy footprint across Australia, we're seeking an experienced Stakeholder & Community Engagement Manager to help build trusted relationships, strengthen communities, and support the delivery of impactful renewable energy projects.

The Opportunity
n
Reporting into the Stakeholder and Communications team, you will lead stakeholder, community, First Nations and government engagement initiatives across Gentari's Australian renewable energy portfolio.
n
You will play a critical role in building and maintaining social licence to operate, supporting project approvals, identifying stakeholder risks and opportunities, and delivering meaningful community engagement and investment programs.
n
This is a highly influential position where your ability to develop trust, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and communicate effectively will directly contribute to project success.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
Stakeholder & Government Engagement
n
Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies across the project lifecycle.
n
Build trusted relationships with communities, landholders, First Nations groups, government agencies and regulators
n




Represent Gentari at community consultations, industry forums and stakeholder meetings
n
Provide strategic advice on stakeholder risks, issues and opportunities
n
Community Engagement & Social Impact
n
Deliver community consultation programs that support project development and approvals.
n
Lead community investment, sponsorship and partnership initiatives.
n
Develop programs that create meaningful and sustainable benefits for local communities.
n
Communications & Advocacy
n
Prepare stakeholder communications, presentations, briefing papers and engagement materials.
n
Support advocacy and industry engagement activities
n
Assist with issues management and stakeholder communication during sensitive situations.
n
Project & Regulatory Support
n
Partner closely with development, environmental and construction teams.
n
Support project approvals and environmental assessment processes.
n
Ensure stakeholder commitments and engagement obligations are tracked and delivered.
n
Manage coach and develop the Stakeholder & Community Engagement Analyst
n
About You:
n
We're looking for a relationship-focused professional who thrives in dynamic project environments and enjoys working with diverse stakeholder groups.
n
What you'll bring:
n
Minimum 5-7+ years' stakeholder engagement experience,



ideally with experience in the renewable energy sector managing community engagement requirements.
n
Tertiary qualifications in
communications/stakeholder
engagement (desirable) and or journalism.
n
Certified professional
qualifications/training
in stakeholder engagement - IAP2 (desirable) or equivalent.
n
Planning and environmental impact assessment experience in the renewable energy sector.
n
Robust capability to relate to communities and develop collateral that presents information in digestible and easy to understand formats.
n
Experience managing community consultation and project approvals processes
n
Exceptional communication, relationship-building and influencing skills
n
Media training would be looked upon favourably but is not essential
n
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with high-performing teams
n
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required
n
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency and a valid driver's licence
