About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and motivating retail staff to achieve excellent customer service and sales results, operating and managing POS systems, organising and maintaining the shop floor, driving sales and assisting with effective marketing and promotional strategies, maintaining high standards of presentation and merchandising, using strong product knowledge to assist customers particularly with wines, managing daily retail operations, supporting the Director with sales and staff management, and maintaining a professional and well-disciplined working environment.
Key responsibilities
Managing and motivating retail staff to achieve excellent customer service and sales results
Confidently operating and managing POS systems
Organising and maintaining the shop floor under the guidance and direction of the Director
Driving sales and assisting with effective marketing and promotional strategies
Maintaining high standards of presentation, merchandising and customer service
Using strong product knowledge to assist customers, particularly with wines
Managing daily retail operations and ensuring company procedures are followed
Supporting the Director with sales, staff management and business development
Maintaining a professional,
positive and well-disciplined working environment
About you
Proven experience as a Retail Sales Manager, Senior Retail Supervisor or experienced retail sales professional
Substantial experience in the liquor industry is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of wines and wine sales
Excellent understanding of POS systems
Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
Proven staff management and leadership skills
Strong sales and marketing abilities
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Current Manager's Licence
Current Australian driver's licence
Current forklift licence
A professional attitude, strong work ethic and excellent organisational skills
