About the Role
We are seeking an influential and commercially astute Construction Director to oversee the successful execution of a complex; multi-faceted project aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
It involves a portfolio of integrated Gas and utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Western Australia.Provide strong leadership and direction to the construction teamFoster a culture of safety, quality,



and collaborationSet clear expectations and objectives for the construction teamIdentify and engage suitable suppliers and sub-contractors for various construction activitiesMonitor and coordinate the work of suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelinesEfficiently manage supplier payments and invoicing processesCollaborate with the project development team to provide construction insights and expertise during the planning and design stagesReview construction-related documents, such as drawings and specifications, and provide feedback as neededIdentify potential construction challenges and propose innovative solutionsParticipate in the Request for Tender (RFT) process, including evaluating bids and selecting the construction contractorNegotiate and finalize contractual terms and conditions with the selected contractorDevelop and manage the construction budget, ensuring cost effectiveness and adherence to project requirementsCoordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities, including the installation of OEM(BESS) systemsCollaborate closely with the project team, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project executionReview and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to guide and oversee on-site activitiesDevelop and implement construction strategies, methodologies, and quality control processesMonitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements,

About YouTertiary qualification in Electrical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related fieldRelevant certifications in construction project management, safety management, or related areasExtensive experience in construction management, specifically in large-scale projects in the energy sectorProven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects, preferably in gas, battery energy storage systems or renewable energyStrong knowledge of construction management principles, techniques, and best practicesProficiency in project management tools and softwareExcellent leadership and communication skillsProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
