About the role
As a Vineyard Operator, you will be responsible for day-to-day vineyard operations across the FABAL sites.
You will work closely with the Vineyard Manager, Supervisor and other operators, assisting with vineyard operations.
Key responsibilities
All Tractor operations, including harvest activities
Daily equipment cleaning, routine and preventative maintenance
Compliance and record keeping
Maintenance of vineyard sites and facilities
Lift and carry heavy items and drive for extended periods, including on rough terrain
Monitoring, repairing, and managing irrigation systems
Maintaining trellis systems and vineyard surrounds
Preparing for and assisting with mechanical or hand-harvesting activities
About you
Current drivers licence and own vehicle
Tractor driving experience
Previous experience in vineyard operations is preferred
Current Forklift License is preferred
Flexibility to adapt to different work environments and vineyard sites
Willing to work shift-work, long hours and weekends for the duration of vintage
Can work as part of a team and contribute to a positive team culture
Can work independently and problem solve as required
